Great byobu set of ladies dressed in kimono playing music and dancing the elegant dance with fan. This six panelled byobu shows a lady dressed in a black homongi kimono (semi formal attire) playing the koto while an other lady dressed in a pink furisode kimono (long sleeved kimono for young ladies) is listening (or maybe learning). Cleanly painted on paper with fresh colours. The byobu is signed with a stamp and set in a plain wooden frame. Showa era (1926-1986)
